PS. Hope you didn’t over-cook the Guinness syrup like I did and had to re-make it! Tip: make sure to keep an eye on the syrup as it reduces and take it off the heat once it gets a bit thick and coats the back of a spoon. It will thicken up as it cools and turn into a molasses-like syrup. If you cook it too long, it will basically turn into Guinness candy. Mmm..maybe that’s not a bad thing?
